Animal fear, burned down to dust

Animal fear, burned down to dust, Scattered as finely dispersed powder, Watered with the past I've lived through — Has grown into edelweiss on the mountains. My God, what beauty! The lesson's learned, a smile on my lips. Light fills the body's cell. And strokes my thoughts with a cloud's shadow. The smell of freedom, the beat of wings. Heading toward my calling. Passions running high, floods of news. The mind is like a tungsten filament. It longs to sing and talk a lot, To tears from an overdose of tenderness. Bared fangs, friends of every stripe. Lives broken by accident. And in this bustle — mustn't fall asleep. Among completely uninvited guests, Misfortunes, vulgarities, top speeds. Of love that comes from vengeance, Maybe not entirely, but my butt's in a warm place. Meeting death as a true guest Or that monsieur with the cane at Patriarch's Ponds, Not to join the ranks of his dangerous retinue.. But neatly show the way with the edge of a bat. Like, my dears, it's to the right, by the entrance. Yes, yes, that's how strangely the deck gets shuffled. Loyalty to yourself and to those beside you. To be a support, though views may differ. Not to spray venom at the feet of the lost. And to become worthy of dwelling in the Present.
