A weary character through carriages and bars

A weary character through carriages and bars. Like soot smeared over wounds that life has turned to scars. With irrelevant experience, past temples all forgot. With an absurd entourage, let's say, with pockets wrung out. Strides a carefree, lonely simpleton, Uncomplaining, willing, with no landmark to steer by. Now old, now out of style, the spitting image of a brawler. Forever out of favor with the commanders of this world. Threadbare trousers and a badly faded jacket. The deathless soul of a forever-smoking butt. The nuthouse weeps for him, he gallops across the sky on a bay, Dreaming of going under the knife on the Almighty Surgeon's table. He readies the cotton and, holding the guts in a clamp, Wants to patch up the circuit board in turbo mode. The doctor's baffled — what's become of the patient? Still in embryo — what's already turned to rudiment. Nothing but defects, factory components keep him from becoming a useful element down below. Dear Creator! I can't take all this anymore… No strength left to wait for a worthy answer! That's it, basta, I'm screwed, I'm fed up to here with your secrets! Into the peace of the grave, despite all the bans. Come on, quick, sew up this gaping abyss From fingers to ears — that's it, I've decided, ironclad. Rid me of these louse-thoughts. They're worthless, useless. And this heavy burden — I don't want it, not even for free. The doctor listened calmly and smiled at his son. The verbal shitstorm was dragging his child into the bog. Don't shame yourself, cry all you want. Wet your wrinkles with tears. I'm no executioner, I only want you, steadfast, like a man, Through everything that, all in all, was not laid out by me, Through the grove of fears that fate has planted, To make it easier — not alone, but with the whole crowd, where everyone grumbles — but follows after you, To walk this path — with dignity and honor. To take off your shoes, come here and sit right here. Then fall asleep to an angels' song. Eat a little, and rest, right here, right here. Just know there's no flaw in you, You're half darkness and half light. And there's no need to fix or replace parts, Go and pass it on to others, so they'll know too… The child sighed at his father's tenderness, Quietly closing his little eyes in joyful bliss. Forgive me, father, that it's never enough. Just let me — I'll start it all over again! My son! Live, and be at peace. I hope this time you'll be satisfied…
