Remember now and then

Remember, now and then at least, The slender figure and the voice And the thin, fair, brittle hair… How water tumbled from the sky… In heavy drops upon our faces And the blue bird of good luck with a flick of its tail set off south far from the cold winter blizzards. Remember, now and then at least, the half-mute haze of early dawn And how I'm kissing you… we're playing tag, all scattering.. We run, but no one's chasing now, no one barks, no one even bites… Days in a string, tangled thoughts, Nothing's left — of them just empty numbers. Remember, now and then at least, The cheerful laughter, wordless phrases. Dreams and desires — all at once. Other cities in the window… And something, sadly, didn't come true.. Remember, so it won't be forgotten. Breathe today, here, now, forever… Remember me, now and then at least.
