Samsara

Neon lights, shop windows, and pretty scenery will fill the emptiness, but only for a moment. Everything real lies buried under a layer of soot, under the eternal weight of gossip and intrigue. How many times have you burned in hell, or set foot on the edge of the seventh heaven? A conscience full of holes — that's undeniably trendier — begging the Lord, at Sunday mass, to close his eyes to all your blasphemies and grant you the comfort of idle days. Or at least the appearance of that feeling, so you don't have to look at anything behind it. Woe to those who, without walking the path of humility, fell into the whirlpool of worldly pleasures. He who doesn't seek knowledge won't be troubled by it — so the sacred texts of the Upanishads foretold. What could be sadder, in all the world, than being a hamster in the wheel of Samsara? Live every frame of this film, without forgetting to give, to create, to love.
