Clouds

Cloaking over all my thoughts, Clouds are nodding, sparks The sun sends above my eye sockets. My musings fall prostrate again. They're gone, as if all light went out, Melted down like butter. The brain climbed calmly off its throne. It's good, but better without. The head is no one's. I bet It's long wanted to be apart. A chill — the goosebumps start to run, Ah, it's wonderful, I'll pray. In my chest, steady, a jazz rhythm. Turning feelings into phrases, A little bit of wordlessness. I send joy on its way. To faraway shores, Into the windows of sleeping towers. Let it lie down quietly beside, Take away the daytime poison That could pile up through the day. Once it's hauled it all — off it runs, Headlong, back again, Back to where it feels so good. No interpretations, no anger. And no one's gossiping… It flows back into the channels… I sense — there's more heart now. More blood, more strength. I didn't even ask, you know… There was no "what if, and if". It all came back as a song. Rang out in unison. I hear softly, as through sleep, Thoughts are asking to come back, Having rested well from the load. Along the wiring, back under the dome, To revive the corpse, and fast. To fire up the nerves anew. They race — who'll be first? Here a wave runs through the body, Pushing boldly into the heart again A mixture, hot as blood. Love is asking to come in.
