Don't Build Sandcastles, Don't Build Them!

Don't build sandcastles, don't build them! They'll melt away like spring ice. Better to stay on Earth and sing a song than send your mind off flying somewhere else. Don't wander off into a world of false illusions. Out there, just like before, emptiness still rules. You won't escape the psychological damage, and your mother's warm hand won't help you this time. Don't dissolve yourself in foolish overthinking. It won't actually help you, so why keep hunting for logic inside your own excuses, spend a whole life being clever, and end up no one. Don't listen to other people's ready-made opinions. Try actually living for a couple of days instead. Rather than playing the devil or playing God on stage — try being a person. That's the harder role.
