M and M

For many now, life's more frightening than death, and instead of angels, devils fill the air. We draw our energy from a monitor's glow, hiding from the sun behind blinds and drawn curtains. These days the stale rot of our apartments dictates our route: kitchen to the bathroom and back. A steady stream of antisocial filth gets served to us for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Well, fine then — a war. What, did we not earn it? We've long since grown sick from all this hypocrisy. And Basilashvili's hero has a point — look how many Masters and Margaritas we've bred.
