You exiled me to the edge of the universe

You exiled me to the edge of the universe. And I had dreamed of a death, instant and terse. My place is where I don't belong anymore. Bad news — we're not together like before. Who, tell me, sharpens knives so keen? I'd rather see only mirages than you on the scene. No compass, and no road in sight. The damned dawn was smirking with spite. The gentle fog froze my heart through and through. My thoughts in verse, but splinters in my heart too. You're far away, there's no one near at all. Somewhere inside there's a spark, but it's buried deep and small. No exit, and the wandering is endless. Your voice is calling me into the infinite, relentless. If only I could see that second sun, The one for which I'd stand a mountain, the only one. Rivers and seas — I'll vault them all, despite Whatever happened yesterday; know I'm all yours, outright. The abyss is in sight, I hang above it for good. Set your wings free and we'll fly off to the clouds
