Don't rush to get used to a person

Don't rush to get used to a person And don't hurry to turn your insides out. Look closely into that muddy river, Or you'll suddenly find yourself overboard. And at the first call, skipping along, Don't run — let them take a step toward you. Calm down your little hurry-scurry. Only that way will understanding come. But if you've felt it — that's it! No less than a gift from the skies! Build a bridge — but right away and solid. So it can hold any weight. So your souls can pay each other visits. If it's dark — let the streetlights burn. To hear with the mind, not with the ears. Open your closet of skeletons to them. Let them learn, see with their own eyes All that's hidden from other people's opinions. And that muddy river with their tears They'll cleanse of your fears. Don't rush to get used to a person. The sky is just an arm's reach away. Don't hurry — your lifetime will be enough To get to know each other better.
