How petty, pointless and sickening

How petty, pointless and sickening To hurl your grudges headfirst into the dark. And a deep breath is impossible to take. Only the blanket covers nakedness. I'll cover with it my mute wounded pride. It keeps silent out of pain and shame. It only trusts in holy benevolence Whose source is blindness. As if there's less oxygen now. The motor double-beats into my gut. Like a prisoner who's found his freedom, I gulp the air greedily at the gates. My eyeballs know no rest Beneath the thin and tender skin of lids. Yes, maybe not of the coarsest cut. And not a kid, but a grown man. And the loud ringing in my ears — such a feeling — Keeps the dogs outside from falling asleep. And the colorful riot of a flood. The shades, though, fill me with dread. I lie, I breathe, I live and I die. Under the weight of this loud silence. Cats are scratching, but they fear the barking, Like a believer fears the mercy of Satan. It seems the truth is shattered into pieces. Into a pile of petty guesses and truths. Ignorance and fear, their jaws gaping, Drink my hope together, arms linked, Bruderschaft. Morpheus, my friend, I want into your arms. Just for the night, come on, no, not for good… It's a long way to full acceptance, But everyone will have to crawl it, that's for sure.
