I'm probably no genius

I'm probably no genius. So we're out of luck, it seems. I've been trained out of laziness. I believe in good — and evil. Firelight will leave just ashes. They'll enrich a layer of soil. In places I'm packed gravel, Tamped down hard by you. Argue? No! You're so beautiful! Eternity is just a moment To be able to see clearly The brief, bright glint of souls. I'm ready in the pitch-black darkness To seek a ray, just like a moth. And steadily, unhurried, Humbly wait for a small flame. Knowing you are somewhere near And trying to find me… I'll call you with my brightest gaze, With the light of an eternal flame. You'll notice, I am certain. How could it be otherwise? With you I mean to let my life Run through our fingers.
