Slowly, inside me, a little child was dying

Slowly, inside me, a little child was dying, And some Mister started running things in there. Lately his behaviour's been pretty trying, And more and more I play alone — no one to share. New habits and new rules — he keeps on bringing Them in all the time, I've had enough of those. The good old games? You kidding? Not a thing! And less and less he comes in on his own. She's nice, with her I never feel bored, With her I'm ready to walk on, step by step. She stirs in him a volcano of feelings, a whole horde. And me — an icy stare burns me with fire instead. He always wants things from me and demands That I wise up faster, take things seriously. He tells me strength and courage, in the end, Will help me out and watch my back repeatedly. Sometimes I just can't get through to him at all, And with the one who lives with us — sometimes it's tough. I play alone until I start to beg them all, And in the one with us a woman's showing up.
