Leaving Again, for Good

Leaving again, for good. Not holding a grudge against the fate that's been laid out for us all. We trudge like a dog on a leash. And barking, searching for bones, looking through our paws at the stream of almost useless news, dreaming of taking at least a sip from a soul grown a little clearer. It wanders, and having found it, we rush to it with our own soul and cry again, leaving.. It doesn't matter which of us first decides… Or they'll decide for us. Not the first, not the last time this spirit's been squeezed into flesh. It doesn't leave, and now, having changed its old wardrobe, it's looking for the next door in one of a multitude of wombs.
