Time is a maw, and the great are its teeth

Time is a maw, and the great are its teeth. To steal someone's time — that's just crude. To revel in power over the body Before death comes tearing through. The charm is to place your humanity At least in a half-eternity. Between two infinities — a fishing line. If you're changing something — change it hard. One step forward… and you're measuring the abyss. Time to fall — it kills all your pride. Flesh is just dust. A free spirit's captivity. Death is no trip-up — just a slap in the face. Time is a fiction. Just an idea Planted in us by a sly little serpent. Devouring everything in its path. Our lot is simply to walk.
